Galleria Bianconi is pleased to announce its presence in Basel from June 15th to 19th 2011.Galleria Bianconi is the only Italian exhibitor invited to take part in ‘The solo project’. As a satellite of Art Basel, it is noted for its exclusive cultural mission which is to invite the most interesting international galleries to exhibit ‘stand specific’ projects, created by one or two artists, exclusively intended for the event. For this special occasion, Galleria Bianconi, who has embarked on a course dedicated to young, emerging artists, will exhibit the work of one of the new talents on the Italian art scene: Daniele Veronesi.
Born in 1981 in Milan where he lives and works, Veronesi creates his works using different languages as sculpture, video, installation, drawing and engravings. This multimedia approach will be perceivable also in the project that will be exhibited for this international event titled “Prospettive Rovesciate” (Reversed Perspectives). This installation specially conceived for Basel fits perfectly inside the artist’s personal research whose goal is to create a short circuit of meanings, suggesting the doubt in the eye of the viewer, representing through architecture the abstract concept of changing perspectives. The use of video completes the work; it becomes a guide and at the same time a frustrating element in Veronesi’s artistic experiment, bringing the viewer to independently formulate the idea that there are various points of view, which are not only a matter of perception, but also of humanity and culture.
